Ekspedition TNBBS 2008....

Expedition to South Bukit Barisan National Park.
Last July 2008, i had been chance to joined with expedition team of Reseach Center for Biology (Herbarium Bogoriense).This is my first expedition with my colleagues. it is the real expedition, because during 2 weeks we stayed in there. before this, i never to that stayed in the jungle in long time. It was interesting experience. Our activities was collected specimens, from morning until afternoon. walking to looking for plants with flowers and fruits.

The last day, i found immature Rafflesia, unfortunately i couldn't wait until it was blooming. i made me very sad. I wished, the next day i can find Rafflesia blooming in there. According Meijer (1997) that this site recorded R.patma. But, based on photograph from official of TNBBS that it was not same with R.patma. Hopely, i will back there.
